WELCOME TO ALBION RIVER CAMPGROUND

You have found the place to go camping this vacation or holiday, under the Albion River Bridge! Ocean fishing, abalone diving, and kayaking will fill your days along with all the tours and weekend events scheduled by our neighboring villages and towns.

We are located on the beautiful Mendocino coast beside the Albion River. The campground offers RV and tent camping, on-site RV rentals, dump station, boat docks, kayak and canoe rentals, sandy beach and restaurant. Fire rings are provided for evening campfires. Temporary RV and boat storage rental spaces can be reserved.

Abalone is found inside the bay and along the coastline both north and south. Ocean fishing is just outside of Albion Bay and includes the waters from Mendocino in the north to Elk in the south. Salmon, bottom fish, abalone, and crab are harvested all along our coast. A commercial dock services an urchin, salmon, crab, and live fish fishery in season. Sorry but there is no fish market but we do have delicious fish and chips on the restaurant menu.

There is kayaking and canoeing on both Albion Bay and Albion River from the campground. Paddling up the Albion River is a trip back through the history of redwood logging and railroading on the Mendocino coast. Many old railroad structures still survive along the reforested shoreline.

Nearby towns of Mendocino and Fort Bragg are the major tourist centers. Mendocino is just 6.5 miles north and Fort Bragg is 15 miles north. All the villages between here and Fort Bragg offer civic and cultural events throughout the year (see Attractions page). Some of Anderson Valley's finest wineries with tasting rooms are located on Highway 128 between Cloverdale and here.
